Channel 4 agree free to air coverage agreement with Sky!
Channel 4 have agreed a deal to show highlights of F1 races for the next five seasons until 2024 in a similar deal to the one they had this season, which saw them show highlights of every race and live coverage of the British Grand Prix.
Sky have exclusive rights to show live coverage of every session from the F1 season, as they have done for years since coverage moved from the BBC.
Channel 4's highlights have given a chance for people without Sky Sports to watch F1 in the UK, and the channel's chief executive Alex McMahon said: "This landmark new partnership with Sky is a fantastic example of how broadcasters can work together to extend the reach of our content and innovate for the benefit of both viewers and advertisers.
"I'm particularly thrilled that we are extending our collaboration with Sky on Formula 1, which secures highlights of all races and live coverage of the British Grand Prix on free-to-air television."
