Renault driver Nico Hulkenberg is confident that he will have a seat at a team for next season despite being told by Renault that he will be replaced by Esteban Ocon for the 2020 season. It seems likely that the German will end up at Haas next season with the team set to choose between him and Romain Grosjean.

Grosjean's contract with Haas expires at the end of this season which has sparked talk that the Frenchman will be replaced by Hulkenberg.

“Nothing has been signed yet, but my team and I are working on it," as quoted by https://www.grandprixradio.nl.

There is certainly interest and we are looking at options. There is nothing concrete yet, but if I want, I have a seat."

The Haas team boss Günther Steiner has previously said that he'd like to decide on the future of the team around the Singapore Grand Prix so an announcement could be made in the coming days.
