2019 Indianapolis 500 champion Simon Pagenaud admits F1 cars are "almost too good"
- Tom Mason
2019 Indianapolis 500 champion Simon Pagenaud has spoken about how good the cars are in.
In particular, he was talking about how the technology in the sport has had an impact on the sport.
“F1 was very interesting to watch because the technology is fascinating,” Pagenaud told RACER magazine.
“The aerodynamics on the car is absolutely stunning. Beautiful. I love little winglets here and there.
"I love to see the flow of the air," he continued. "How the Red Bull has worked on the sidepods and almost sculpting to get the airflow going to the radiators is just phenomenal".
He began his professional career with the ART Formula Renault team in 2003 but is yet to gain an opportunity in F1itself.
The F1 season is set to return following the summer break next weekend in Belgium.
