Sebastian Vettel is in his fifth season at Ferrari and is yet to mount a sustained title challenge. However, Mattia Binotto has insisted that the German's main focus is to win a World Championship with the Scuderia.

Vettel joined Ferrari from Red Bull for the 2015 season with the constructor hoping he could push them back to the top of the pile. However, Vettel has only managed second in the last two seasons, succumbing to the superb consistency of Lewis Hamilton.

Vettel's form has been no better this season and along with teammate Charles Leclerc, is yet to win a race in 2019. However, Binotto keeps his belief in the German and believes Vettel is focused on his goal.

"His goal does not change, he wants to become world champion with Ferrari, and it is a very clear goal for him," Binotto told Motorsport.com.

"The beginning of the season in this sense was frustrating because race after race you understand that you are not in the best position to achieve your goal, but Seb knows what he wants, and I think this is a fundamental aspect for him, which gives him the push and energy to move forward."
