Will Buxton predicts "Ferrari won't win a single Grand Prix this year"
Ferrari is yet to win a race this season and Formula 1 journalist Will Buxton predicts that they will finish the season winless as well. Looking ahead to the last nine races, Will Buxton expects little from the Maranello team. When asked what a striking prediction is for the second half of the season, the commentator replies:
“That Ferrari doesn't win a single Grand Prix in the second half. That may not even be striking, given the shape of the team in 2019 so far. Maybe the first stage for McLaren then?" Buxton said to the official F1 website.
“In addition, I hope to see battles between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton again in the second half of the year as the season progresses. That we really get a title fight as Verstappen and Red Bull continue to grow, while Mercedes finds an extra gear. I'm sure they've got it. What else am I looking forward to? Eating pizza in Italy!”
When asked what has surprised him the most this season Buxton said:
“The disappointing Renault? The surprise at Haas? The rising line of McLaren? All good answers, but for me, it's Red Bull and Honda. That it has become exactly what Toro Rosso announced last season. Winning two races in such a short time really surprised me."
