George Russell may have had improved fortunes at the Hungarian Grand Prix but the rookie is honest in his examination of his form and isn't convinced Williams can replicate their performance.

Russell qualified for the race in 16th place, eventually starting 15th but the Brit was as high as ninth at one point in qualifying before eventually succumbing to a Q1 exit. Russell went on to finish the race where he qualified, P16 but he received plenty of praise from the world of motorsport and was rightfully very satisfied with his weekend's work.

However, Russell was brutally honest in his reflection and admitted he would like to be able to replicate his Hungaroring form but wasn't sure if it was realistic.

"I'd like to think we can carry this through to future races," Russell told Motorsport.com.

"I'm not convinced but I think we just need to be more dynamic to the situation and have less preconceived thoughts of how we need to approach something - and try more across the weekend.

"We haven't really tried enough different things, purely on the tyres, than we should have and that's something I regret slightly."
