Charles Leclerc to drive Ferrari car behind closed doors at Monza
While Formula 1 enters its annual summer break, Ferrari and Charles Leclerc have a little bit more work to do. Leclerc is getting back into his F1 car today [7th August] to complete a filming day at Monza.
Every team has the opportunity to have a film day each season. They're allowed to take their current car and make a promotional film at any point during the season.
Ferrari has decided to take use theirs today ahead of the Italian Grand Prix which forms part of the post-summer break back-to-back race weekends. On film days, the teams must use demo tyres from Pirelli rather than the race tyres. They're not allowed to test new parts at any point in the day.
With the long straights, Monza will allow Leclerc to see the current straight-line performance of the car. Ferrari is not allowing spectators through the gates.
