"Plenty more races" for Charles Leclerc to prove himself
Charles Leclerc's run of podiums came to an end at the German Grand Prix as he crashed out, but his boss, Mattia Binotto believes there are plenty more races for Leclerc despite Sunday's result.
Leclerc had a disappointing weekend after qualifying tenth as he failed to set a time during Q3 due to technical problems. Then on race-day, the Monegasque spun out and crashed into a barrier bringing a premature end to his race as he fought for a podium in challenging conditions.
Despite having several good opportunities for a maiden F1 win Leclerc is yet to win a race but his boss believes there will be more chances for the Ferrari man.
“He’s aware today was an opportunity missed, but he will get over it,” Binotto said as quoted by GPFans.
“There are plenty more races and there is no doubt that the guy is very quick and today he was delivering an extraordinary performance.
“It’s true that maybe we could have come away with more today, but that’s racing.”
