"If you solve those four points, I'm sure the racing is going to be f*cking good."
Romain Grosjean, head of the Grand Prix Driver's Association (GPDA) reports the drivers have produced a list of four main points. The French driver says the racing would be "f*cking good" if those four points were brought into Formula 1.
Ahead of the rule and regulation overhaul which is set to hit the sport in 2021, the drivers have been called upon more than ever before. The ability the follow cars is almost nonexistent in the current Formula 1 set-up.
Earlier this week, Hamilton stated that he didn't experience anything different as a result of the aero changes brought in at the start of the 2019 season. Grosjean confirms more aero changes are on the list, but problem number one is the tyres.
"Out of four points from the GPDA, number one is the tyre, number two is the aero, number three is the weight, number four is money between the teams. So I think if you solve those four points, I'm sure the racing is going to be f------ good," Grosjean said in a long interview with ESPN.
Since Jean Todt mentioned bringing back refuelling for the 2021 season, more or less everyone has had their opinion on the matter. According to Grosjean, the GPDA wants refuelling to come back and that is one of their top priorities. He explains why.
"Yes, we want it. Not because we think it's great for racing but because we need to bring the weight of the car down to help Pirelli. It's a temporary fix for the car to be 70 kg lighter or 60 kg lighter. It's one of the reasons we are overheating the car like crazy. [Refueling] is the easiest and cheapest way to bring 70 kilos off the car." he added.
