Sergio Perez hopes Hockenheim can be a "turning point" for SportPesa Racing Point

Sergio Perez is hopeful SportPesa Racing Point can find the "turning point" for its season at the German Grand Prix this weekend.
Racing Point have struggled in recent races and sit in P7 in the constructors' championship - joint on points with Toro Rosso. Perez started the season really strongly; scoring three top 10 finishes in the opening four races of the 2019 season.
The Silverstone-based team is about to introduce several new parts with technical boss Andy Green saying everything will change except the chassis for the race in Hockenheim this weekend.
"Racing in Germany brings back the memories of when I used to live there," Perez said. "I was very young - having just moved from Mexico - and it was my first experience of living abroad and racing single-seaters.
"I hope Germany will be a turning point in our season. I've been unlucky lately, especially in Silverstone last week where we deserved to get a decent result. I believe we can make some good steps with the car before the summer break and hopefully our luck will change too.
"I believe in the work we are doing and I know it's just a matter of time until we get back to where we belong - scoring points."
