"Every session crucial" to development of McLaren 2019 F1 car says Norris

McLaren driver Lando Norris has admitted "every session is crucial" to the development of the MCL34, as he prepares to make his Formula 1 debut at Hockenheimring this weekend.
Norris raced at his home track at Silverstone for the first time in his F1 career recently, but perhaps disappointed himself with his performance on Sunday after a strong qualifying session the day before.
After qualifying in P8, Norris looked to have another strong weekend, but was beaten by his team-mate Carlos Sainz Jr. despite qualifying five places above him on the grid.
The 19-year-old is not getting himself down, though, and he remains optimistic McLaren can have another strong weekend this time around: "I really enjoyed the whole experience around my home grand prix, even if the result wasn't quite what I was hoping for.
"I'm now looking forward to getting back on track in Germany. I've raced at Hockenheim a few times before in junior formulae, but I'm excited to race there in an F1 car for the first time.
"It's a cool track and I've had some good experiences there in the past. We are working on improving the car at every weekend and every session is crucial to that development, so I'll be looking to hit the ground running from FP1 onwards."
