Seidl: "There is no room for complacency" at McLaren F1
McLaren is currently in pole position for the most improved Formula 1 team over the last six months. They're leading the fight for the 'best of the rest' position in the Formula 1 constructors' championship, with Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris regularly scoring points. But boss Andreas Seidl doesn't want complacency to slip in.
“We’ve had some positive results in the last few races, but we know there is no room for complacency if we want to keep moving forward and there are always improvements to be made," Seidl said.
The British Grand Prix yielded another eight points for the Woking-based team, again beating rivals Renault. Seidl is well aware of how close the midfield battle is and because of this, he wants the upgrades and improvements to keep rolling in to ensure they stay ahead of Daniel Ricciardo and Nico Hulkenberg.
"The race at Silverstone proved how close the midfield teams are. Despite the good result at the British Grand Prix, there are still clear areas to work on and we aim to make progress at every single race," Seidl added.
"Heading into the final back-to-back before the summer break, it’s important that we keep our focus during this busy period and push right up until the factory shut-down in August."
