Max Verstappen appears fully focused on Formula 1 but Aston Martin have played up the idea of Verstappen taking to the Le Mans circuit in one of their cars.

Verstappen is currently third in the Formula 1 Drivers' Championship behind the Mercedes pair and is still only 21-years old despite racing in the pinnacle of motorsport since 2015.

Max's father Jos competed in the Le Mans Series LMP2 races and won the 24 hours of Le Mans LMP2 series in 2008. In the past, it has been rumoured that father and son could team up to race at Le Mans whilst Max is still in F1. Andy Palmer has suggested Aston Martin would be more than happy for Verstappen Jr to be involved, whether it be soon or in the future.

"Philosophically or theoretically I'd love to have him involved [at Le Mans]," Palmer told Motorsport.com.

"He's not formally involved but it's not ruled out either.

"That's a conversation to be had in the future. But wouldn't it be great?"
