Leclerc gives an insight into what he does before a race
Charles Leclerc has given an insight into how he feels and what he does before he gets into the cockpit of his Ferrari on race day. Every driver has a different routine and Leclerc's is certainly unique.
Leclerc stepped up to Ferrari during the off-season, replacing Kimi Raikkonen and has since impressed with his speed and desire for competitive racing. Despite the disappointments of Bahrain and his home race of Monaco, Leclerc has bounced back in recent weeks recording four successive podiums.
The Monegasque has given an insight into his thought process before a race.
"I often sit right next to the car, there I have some engineers who are close to everything for information," Leclerc told Canal +.
"I do not really realize the world around me when I'm sitting right before getting into my car, because I'm in my bubble.
"I try to concentrate and repeat everything the engineers told me just before.
"We review all the procedures that are before departure, because there are many, to be sure not to forget one, because to forget one will mean that we will completely miss the start. "
