Vettel will redeem himself at the German Grand Prix!
Lewis Hamilton has given Sebastian Vettel some morale-boosting words and believes the German will bounce back at his home race. This comes after Vettel finished in 16th place at Silverstone.
Vettel had a nightmare weekend at the British Grand Prix as he qualified fifth but finished in 16th place after trying to make a move on Max Verstappen. The German wiped both of them out denying both of them of any chance they had of finishing on the podium as Charles Leclerc came through to take third. Verstappen would finish fifth but Vettel would end up behind both Williams.
Despite Vettel having little going his way at the moment on the track, his rival Hamilton believes he will bounce back sooner rather than later.
"I absolutely believe he will recover, he has had a difficult career (for Silverstone), but he is a four-time world champion, he will recover, he will redeem himself if he feels he needs to do it and he will come back stronger. the next race, that's what great athletes do," Hamilton said as quoted by AS.
Hamilton was also brutally honest about his competition, adding: "I wish the battle was with the Ferraris, it's different when you're competing with teammates, I've always said that I prefer to compete against Red Bull and Ferrari, but nowadays it's not like that."
