Williams have "a spring in their step" following "incredibly difficult" period
Claire Williams finally feels that after a difficult period for the constructors, Williams are finally looking forward despite both drivers yet to score a point in the Championship.
The season started badly for Williams after they were late to pre-season testing and it has only gotten worse with their new partnership of Robert Kubica and George Russell yet to score a point. Whilst Russell has impressed considering the resources at his disposal, Kubica has not, finishing behind his teammate at all but one race this season.
Claire Williams is well aware of the difficulties the team have faced this season but finally feels progress is being made and feels the team have "a spring in everybody's step".
“The package that we’ve got coming prior to shutdown is predominately an aero-related package [and] we’re looking forward to seeing how it does," said Williams as quoted by RaceFans.net.
“So we’re making good steps in the right direction and that’s really nice to see.
“Obviously it’s been incredibly difficult for everybody at Williams over the past many, many months now and it finally feels like we’re heading in the right direction again.
"So there’s a bit of more of a spring in everybody’s step so to speak."
