It's the second session of the Austrian Grand Prix weekend! Our liveblog is running below and we'll bring you all of the important updates from FP2 which starts at 2pm BST/9am EST.

Tyres, tyres and tyres

There's been plenty of talk regarding the tyres since we left France last weekend. This morning, the teams had a vote on whether Pirelli should return to the 2018 set of compounds. The result produced a 5:5 split meaning the tyres will remain the same for this season. Further news emerged this morning that Carlos Sainz will take a penalty because of an engine change. He's joined by Alex Albon.

What happened in FP1?

The Mercedes mechanics had some work to do this morning on Valtteri Bottas' car. He had an oil leak but that didn't seem to cause any major problems for him in the session. Lewis Hamilton damaged his front wing towards the end of the session. The Brit topped the session and was followed by Sebastian Vettel.  Max Verstappen, last year's winner in Austria, spent some time at P1, but could only finish in P6.
