Kubica: Williams are well prepared for Austrian Grand Prix
Robert Kubica is looking forward to the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend and feels the Williams team are well prepared for the schedule that the first double-header of the season has in store.
Kubica beat his rookie teammate, George Russell for the first time this season at the French Grand Prix but the Williams pair were still significantly off the pace of the majority of the field. Williams are the only team without a point this season, something they will be hoping to change as soon as possible, despite it looking very unlikely.
Although good performances continue to be hard to come by Kubica insisted the team are well prepared for the Austrian Grand Prix, the conclusion of the first double-header of the season.
"I enjoy racing in Austria, it is a short track that looks simple, but it is not. The circuit has a long straight with heavy breaking and short corners," said Kubica.
"A back-to-back race is an intense period for teams, but we are well prepared as last year Austria was in the middle of three races in a row.
"Overall, it is a nice track to drive especially with its green surroundings. It has a special feeling and I look forward to returning there."
