Mattia Binotto has confirmed Ferrari will bring more upgrades to their car for the Austrian Grand Prix. He also confirmed the team want to add downforce to the car, even if they lose a bit of speed.

The Mercedes car is fast in a straight line, but they stay well ahead of their rivals around the corners. With Ferrari knowing they're the opposite, Binotto is willing to improve downforce even if it compromises speed. The alterations might also affect the tyres which Mercedes has managed to master.

“We didn't get all the answers this weekend, because the floor wasn't working properly. We are introducing new upgrades in Austria and meanwhile, we are trying to understand that floor. It is more difficult if something works against expectation," Binotto told GPToday.net.

"Where we ultimately want to go is more downforce at the expense of speed," Binotto replied to the question from motorsport.com
