Binotto: Ferrari are a "young team" compared to Mercedes
Ferrari team principal, Mattia Binotto feels Ferrari are a young team when compared to their Mercedes counterparts as he plots how to bring an end to the Mercedes dominance.
Binotto replaced Maurizio Arrivabene as the team principal of the Scuderia having originally been their technical director. Binotto became Ferrari's fourth principal since 2014, the start of the current engine generation.
The road to catching Mercedes seems a long one with Ferrari seeming to have enough power, but lacking in almost every other department. Luck also doesn't seem to be on their side following the events of the Canadian Grand Prix.
In an exclusive interview with Martin Brundle for Sky Sports F1, Binotto spoke about the reshuffling of the team and he feels they are a "young team" compared to Mercedes.
"They are a very stable team," said Binotto.
"That's now many years that they have got people in the right role or the same role, whereas at Ferrari we reshuffled and are a young team in that respect.
"A lot of us are really new in the role, we are not too young, but we are new in our roles."
