Bottas: Ricciardo battle "at the limit of regulation"
Valtteri Bottas might have had a tough weekend at the Canadian Grand Prix, but the Finn enjoyed the battle between himself and Daniel Ricciardo which eventually ended with the Finn passing Ricciardo on lap 40.
Bottas had a difficult weekend as he only qualified in sixth place and despite making up two places to finish fourth, he would've been glad to see the back of Montreal for another year.
Bottas had a longer than he would've liked battle with Daniel Ricciardo as he tried to work his way back up the field. The Finn eventually overcame the Australian on lap 40, but not before the Renault man had used all of his defensive might to hold up the quicker Mercedes off.
Despite a frustrating weekend, Bottas was surprisingly upbeat about the battle between himself and Ricciardo
“With Ricciardo, it was a good fight, at the limit of the regulation," Bottas said as quoted by Formula Passion.
"I didn't complain because I like to run like that, even hard. He defended himself very well, it certainly didn't make my life easy, but it was corrected and he defended himself within the limits of the regulation."
