Bottas: "I won't give up" after missing out on Monaco pole
Valtteri Bottas was understandably disappointed after making a mistake on his final lap and losing out on pole position to his teammate and championship rival Lewis Hamilton ahead of Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix.
Bottas set a scintillating lap in his first run but was pipped by Hamilton, who was less than a tenth faster on his final run.
The Finn made a mistake at Portier on his last lap and came into the pits, confirming his P2 start for the race, his best qualifying position at Monaco.
He told Sky Sports after the session: "I'm disappointed not to have got pole.
"Anything can happen in the race - there's no point giving up on Saturday.
"It would've been nice to have been on pole but I won't give up."
