Montoya: Bottas ‘more complete’ than Rosberg

Former Formula 1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya has stated that he believes Valtteri Bottas is a ‘more complete’ driver than Nico Rosberg.
Bottas filled Rosberg’s place at Mercedes after the German retired from the sport shortly after winning his only world championship in 2016.
Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton had a tense relationship towards the end of their rivalry as teammates and Montoya believes that the two are similar in their ability to get to teammate Hamilton, forcing him into mistakes.
Montoya said as quoted by AS newspaper: “Valtteri Bottas is a more complete driver than Nico Rosberg.”
Bottas endured a tough season last year failing to match any of his wins back in 2017 but has bounced back this season to match Hamilton and finishing 1-2 for Mercedes the first five races.
“Last year was very hard for him, but he has been able to recover and what he is doing now is very good,” Montoya added.
“You see Lewis start to make mistakes in practice that he usually doesn’t make.
“When you start to make mistakes to go fast, it means you’re finding it more difficult.”
