The case surrounding Christian Horner’s alleged inappropriate behaviour, of which he was acquitted last year, is not yet over. The Red Bull Racing employee who accused Horner has gone to the UK employment tribunal, De Telegraaf reports and GPblog can now confirm. Meanwhile, British media are not allowed to publish reports on the case as it develops.

Red Bull employee takes legal action

GPblog previously reported that the employee was considering going to court and she has now taken that step. The case will indeed be presented before the employment tribunal in January 2026, this site has learned. The employment tribunal handles labour disputes between employers and employees.

The fact that the case is hardly ever reported by British media is due to a Reporting Restriction Order (RRO), which is often put in place for sensitive cases involving public figures in the UK. This publication ban was imposed by the court at the request of Horner’s camp, meaning that British media are no longer allowed to report on any developments on the case until the ban is lifted.

In February 2024, it came to light that Red Bull had engaged an independent lawyer to investigate allegations against Horner, who has always denied the allegations. Later that month, the team boss was acquitted, after which the employee was suspended. She appealed against the ruling, after which there was a second investigation. Following this, Horner was also acquitted.
