Verstappen spotted testing in partnership with Aston Martin after all
Over recent months, Max Verstappen has been frequently linked to Aston Martin. In London, the Dutch driver admitted to talking to the British brand, however these talks have not been for a seat in their Formula 1 team. Verstappen shared that this has been regarding a GT3 project for which he has now been spotted driving an Aston Martin at the Circuit Paul Ricard.
Aston Martin has reportedly offered a large sum of money to get Max Verstappen to the British team. Although Aston Martin would love a collaboration between the four-time world champion, Adrian Newey and Honda, the Dutch driver admitted to GPblog and other media that he has turned down this offer.

Verstappen did contact Aston Martin about a GT3 project as he wants to start his own GT3 team with his own drivers this year. Ahead of the start of this project, the four-time world champion was spotted at the French Paul Ricard circuit in an Aston Martin GT3 car. The Aston Martin was seen at the circuit in full Verstappen.com Racing livery.
There are a number of drivers who are possible contenders for a seat on Verstappen's GT3 team. Fellow Dutch driver Thierry Vermeulen is one name that has been mentioned and apart from being the son of his manager, the two are good friends and Vermeulen already has experience driving for Verstappen.com Racing.
Team Redline driver Chris Lulham has also been mentioned as Verstappen has made it clear in the past that he thinks it is important that talented sim racers also get opportunities in real life racing.
