Max Verstappen remains a true racing fan even as a four-time Formula 1 world champion. Last Saturday, he joined his sim racing squad, Team Redline, for another virtual race, and the Dutchman was fully immersed in the action. During the live stream, Verstappen was on the edge of his seat, captivated by a thrilling battle on track.
Earlier this month, the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup kicked off at the virtual Daytona circuit. Thirty of the world’s best sim racers competed for a $200,000 prize pool. As a key figure in Team Redline and founder of Verstappen Racing, Max Verstappen is deeply invested in the competition and follows each race weekend closely.
Last Saturday marked the second Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup event, this time at the virtual Mugello circuit. The race delivered an intense battle between Team Redline’s Diogo Pinto, who is also part of Verstappen Racing, and Sebastian Job of Red Bull Sim Racing. The two top sim racers were evenly matched throughout, pushing each other to the limit and narrowly avoiding collisions multiple times. It was a great showcase of high-level sim racing.
Max Verstappen and his Team Redline colleagues sat on the edge of their seats, watching the intense duel unfold. The battle between Diogo Pinto and Sebastian Job had them anxiously following every move, anticipating who would come out on top. Ultimately, Red Bull Sim Racing won over Team Redline, but Verstappen was full of praise for both drivers' performances. "Great racing, though," the four-time F1 champion remarked, applauding the high level of competition and skill on display.
