'Secret Santa' is back, but multiple world champions are missing
As around many places in the world, 'Secret Santa' also took place in the paddock in F1. The tradition that has been going on for many season, and this year, drivers once again pulled a name from the hat.
The concept of Formula 1's 'Secret Santa' is simple. Everyone pulls a name from the hat, and for that driver, they would need to buy them a present. Then, once they open their gift, they get to guess who 'chose' them as well.
Many drivers also wanted to make some fun references with their gifts. For example, Carlos Sainz got a chili costume from Guanyu Zhou, and made a bet that he would need to wear it if the Chinese driver manages to score some points. That of course happened in Qatar, so the Spaniard got to dress up as his nickname. Liam Lawson also received a funny present. The New Zealander is a big fan of the Cars films and so he received a remote control 'Lightning McQueen' car.
No Hamilton and Verstappen in 'Secret Santa' video
Max Verstappen did not participate in this year's 'Secret Santa'. Neither did his now ex-teammate Sergio Perez, and Lewis Hamilton.
