F1: Alonso, Hamilton, Verstappen and Button form the ultimate driver

Formula 3 driver Callum Voisin had to put together his ideal driver, and he did so using different traits from highly regarded F1 drivers. You can read below which drivers, and for which skills, conformed the British F3 youngster's ultimate driver.

When asked whom he would choose in terms of racing intelligence, though as he later admitted was a tough decision, he finally made his mind up for Fernando Alonso. "He's intelligent. He's got a lot of experience in the sport, I think he has shown us countless times that he is a thinker, and he is very good on strategy, so it's a tough pick but I would say Alonso."

"Hamilton, the goat, can always pull it out of the bag"

For their racing skills in inclement weather, the British young talent did not go for your Ayrton Senna, or Michael Schumacher. He instead looked towards another world champion, Jenson Button, a wet weather driving ace who famously won a chaotic and extreme 2011 Canadian GP. "I would say purely because I used to watch him in the rain, and I remember he used to be very good and that was Jenson Button. Very smooth, rarely made any mistakes, you knew as soon as it got wet, he was going to be up there," Voisin elaborated on his selection.

When it came down to Saturday pace, the Rodin Motorsport driver went for Lewis Hamilton. "You can't really dispute it, the GOAT, Lewis Hamilton. The most poles, he can always pull it out of the bag, even in perhaps not the fastest car, so I’ll say him, Hungary last year springs to mind."

For tyre management, and overtaking, Voisin chose two former Red Bull drivers, respectively, Sergio Perez and Daniel Ricciardo. While for their abilities on cornering the choice landed on compatriot, Lando Norris.

"The OG Verstappen was probably that"

Of course, four time world champion, Max Verstappen could not be missing from the pick. The 'OG' (original) Dutchman was lauded by the British talent for his bravery and risk taking. "I don't think there is anything that compares to Max Verstappen. Especially in his youth he was slightly controversial in his moves but it's exactly what us young drivers do, it's very much a karting-esque style of racing. But now I would say he has calmed down a little bit, but the OG Verstappen was probably that."
