The Brazilian Grand Prix was a bizarre race. Rain, safety cars and a red flag created unusual situations on the track. However, Max Verstappen won the race, even though he had to start from P17, with one of the great drives from the Dutchman all but sealing his fourth consecutive title with that victory in Sao Paulo. Formula 1 fans voted the race at Interlagos as their favourite Grand Prix of the Formula 1 season.

At the Brazilian Grand Prix, Verstappen dealt a crushing blow in the championship. Lando Norris sealed pole position in the rain, while Verstappen was caught out and was knocked out in Q2. Along with a grid penalty, it meant the Red Bull Racing driver was forced to start from P17, while championship rival Norris started first and looked to get right back in the title race.

However, it was a sublime performance from Verstappen, showing why he is the best driver on the grid in F1. He sliced through the field and mastered the treacherous conditions, going from 17th to 1st and winning by a whopping 20 seconds, as well as setting 17 fastest laps throughout. Norris went from P1 down to P6 during the race, effectively ending his title hopes with another mistake-filled race. With this win, Verstappen increased his lead in the championship again and became the world champion in Las Vegas.
