'Jos Verstappen is frustrated and we know he can't keep his mouth shut'

Last week, Verstappen Sr raised what he sees as an important issue again: Red Bull has been losing too many key people lately, which Max's father believes has a negative impact on results. Horner, however, says from time to time that the Austrian team's success does not depend on a few individuals, and he then repeatedly points out that there are plenty of bright minds left. "He always glosses over it!" was Jos Verstappen's conclusion.

Guenther Steiner does not understand why Horner has allowed the relationship with his star driver's father to become so disrupted. "I'm a little bit lost with that one, because normally Christian is seeing these things very good," the Italian said in an exclusive interview with GPblog.

"I think he should find an agreement with Jos, that they speak the same language for the sake of helping Max to win the championship, and at the moment they don't help themselves."

'Is that the best for Max?'

Steiner thinks this is "strange", even as he underlined he does not have all the ins and outs. "And we know Jos is frustrated, we all know Jos cannot keep his mouth shut. And again I'm not critiquing him for that, but is it the best for his son, I don't know. But when you don't know the dynamics internally in the team, it's difficult to say who is wrong and who is right."

"Because I'm not a judge, by the way. so I'm not judging the people, what they say in the press, because it's like, obviously, Jos likes to tell his opinion to people. And I think he can do [that] and he will know the consequences of it because he's a smart guy as well," Steiner concluded.
