How long will Verstappen remain silent for? 'I don't mind doing this!'

According to the championship leader, many drivers believe his penalty is excessive and over the top. "Of course, I wrote in the GPDA (Grand Prix Drivers Association) the ruling, and everyone was almost laughing. 'What the hell is that?', basically. So yes, it is very, very silly," Verstappen began.

Verstappen: 'Not answering works well for me!'

In protest, the three-time world champion chose once again to keep things brief in all the official press conferences. How long does the Dutchman plan to keep doing this? "I don't know. I don't mind doing this. [Not answering elaborately]. For me, it works well, I think," the Dutchman said while laughing. Verstappen has clearly stated that he is not too fond of his media duties in the past. 

The 61-time Grand Prix winner driver once again made it clear that he's not happy with the punishment. He believes swearing is a natural reaction to some of the sport's more stressful elements. "You know, you should be able to show emotions in a way, that's what racing is about. Any sport. Anyone walking around on the pitch if they get tackled or get pushed or they're not happy with something or there's a frustrating moment or something that they get asked about, it's quite normal that there can be a sort of reaction," Verstappen explained.

Will the FIA spat continue?

The situation is yet to be resolved, and Verstappen was very cautious with his words. "I think, well, all these latest additions, I just sit down. I also don't want to go into too much detail because otherwise, I might get called back up again." Verstappen concluded. Hopefully, the situation will be resolved before F1 returns to Austin next month.
