Max Verstappen was lucky enough to make his Formula 1 debut at a very young age. In Hungary, he was asked by Formula.hu what advice he would have for his 16-year-old self, who was about to debut in the sport. The Dutchman gave a typical Verstappen answer to this.

In 2015, Max Verstappen made his Formula 1 debut with Toro Rosso. At the age of 17 and 166 days, it made him the youngest-ever debutant in the competition. Yet the Dutchman has no advice for his younger self. "Honestly, nothing!" the Dutchman said firmly.

Verstappen lives in the moment

"I think if you always knew what the future holds, or maybe got advice from the future, that would make life incredibly boring. Why? Because it's important to make mistakes sometimes. It is also important not to know what the future holds, what the future will look like, what we will achieve and what we will not. It wouldn't be fun if we knew everything in advance. I wouldn't like it in any case,'' the defending world champion explained to Formula.hu.

Verstappen goes on to say that he does not believe in fortune-tellers. He is not interested in the future and he prefers not to know anything about it. ''For example, I don't want to know if I will die in 30 years and things like that. When are we going to die? I don't want to know that!'' The Dutchman says he prefers to enjoy life and feel and experience everything himself.
