P18. It is almost unfathomable that a Red Bull Racing driver should start the Monaco Grand Prix from eighteenth position. Not because he hit the wall during qualifying, no, simply because he was not fast enough. A painful conclusion for Sergio Perez, who completely falls through the ice for the second race in a row. The Mexican is once again reminiscent of the Perez of mid-season 2023. It raises the question whether Red Bull would therefore be wise to replace Perez for '25?

The current season seems to have nice parallels with last year. In '23, Perez started fine, only to go into a particularly bad period after the Miami Grand Prix. Just as he had a bad weekend in Imola after the Miami race this year, and after a dramatic Saturday in Monaco, he goes into a lost race in advance on Sunday.

Perez leaves all the pressure on Verstappen's shoulders

While Red Bull Racing need two drivers at the front to pull the chestnuts out of the fire, currently all the pressure is once again on Max Verstappen's shoulders. And that for Perez too at a time when he is trying to earn a new commitment at Red Bull. Weekends like Imola and now Monaco certainly do not help then.

But don't the last few weeks show that Perez is simply not good enough for Red Bull and shouldn't the Austrian team tie the knot: Red Bull would be wise to replace Perez for the 2025 season? So that's our question! Vote and respond in the comments!
