Former Formula One driver points out: 'Same level as Verstappen'

Alexander Rossi, a former Formula 1 driver, has raced with both Max Verstappen and NASCAR driver Kyle Larson, and he feels both drivers are on the same level. The American driver drove for five races in Formula 1; for Manor Racing, he made his debut in the 2015 edition at Singapore. This Sunday, Rossi will become Larson's team mate during the Indy 500. He compares the two drivers.
Rossi thinks Larson is the same level as Verstappen
In fact, Rossi is now Larson's teammate in the Indy 500, to be held on Sunday 26 May. Qualifying for this race in the state of Indiana has already taken place. Rossi will start his Arrow McLaren from fourth place on Sunday, and Larson will start behind the US driver in fifth place.
When Rossi was asked if NASCAR driver Larson is as good as Verstappen, he responded with: “I think he’s already towards the top, so I don’t know. Put him at the top? Like, he’s ‘The Man', I would say they’re on the same level." Rossi told AP News.
Larson himself questioned Rossi's statement. "Not in an F1 car! I can't beat him in an F1 car. And I bet he can beat me in an Indy car," the American driver explained. Asked where Larson can beat Verstappen, he responded with: "I hope in a NASCAR sprint race."
