F1 Manager 2024 Revealed - What’s New?

Create a Team:

Players can choose to bring their own team onto the F1 grid in this year's game. Customisable livery and logo creation tools give players full control over their team’s unique identity. ‘Team Origins’  influence your own team's starting position. Do you want to come into the sport as an underfunded underdog? Or burst onto the scene as a title contender with major investment? The choice is yours. There are a range of origins with unique backstories up and down the grid for you to choose from. You can also fully customise your starting conditions. As well as this, Frontier says: 'Team Principals must also directly manage their stable of sponsors to deliver both engagement opportunities and results to bolster marketability and attract future support.' There are 50 sponsors to choose from, with each affecting your team in different ways. 

Mentality System: 

'Managing people and personalities, Team Principals will see the impact of their decisions directly influence drivers and staff mentality; prioritising one car’s performance risks building an inter-team rivalry. Failure to keep their stars happy will present rivals with opportunities to poach talent, disrupting the team’s trajectory towards the top.' 

Affiliates System:

'Team Principals can secure rising stars by recruiting them to the new Affiliates system, allowing young drivers to continue their careers in F2™ and F3™ whilst receiving training and development from the player’s F1® team.' To see this development quicker, there is also the option to simulate full races. 

Visual Enhancements:

Each track on the 2024 calendar has been revamped by Frontier, and the debut of the strategic Heli-cam view brings on-track action to life with greater immersion and realism.

Mechanical Failures: 

The new mechanical failure system adds another element of realism and jeopardy to the game. 'Much like their real-world counterparts, players will need to think tactically as they strive to mitigate and capitalise on the ever-evolving challenges and opportunities mechanical failures bring.'

When does the game release?

F1 Manager will be available on July 23 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox for a suggested retail price of £29.99/$34.99/€34.99. The deluxe edition will provide players with five more unique fictional race scenarios to test their skills, as well as five additional classically inspired patterns, providing additional create a team livery options for the suggested retail price of £39.99/$44.99/€44.99. Players who pre-order the game before release will receive 10% off the full price.
