- Ludo van Denderen
Thanks to social media, it became clear that Lando Norris had a very enjoyable day in Amsterdam. The British McLaren driver stayed in the Netherlands on 28 April which is known as King's Day in the Netherlands. King Willem-Alexander's birthday was celebrated across the country. Photos and videos on the internet revealed that Norris celebrated the party on a boat in Amsterdam's canals. But photos also emerged showing Norris wearing a bandage.
Soon, all sorts of rumours were circulating; from Norris suffering a minor injury during the festivities to a story suggesting that the F1 driver had broken his nose. His McLaren team clarified Norris' situation a few days after King's Day. The message? "Lando is fine."
Norris with a cut on his nose
Several pictures taken of Norris during King's Day showed a small cut on top of his nose, but how that occurred is unclear. Norris will likely explain that himself during the weekend when he competes in the Miami Grand Prix. In the American city, the Briton wants to continue his good form. In the last race in China, Norris finished second, behind Max Verstappen. Norris also posted on his own Instagram story showing he had landed in Miami on Sunday afternoon.
