Jos Verstappen is in absolute top form at the age of 52. On Saturday, Max's father won the Ardennes Rally in Belgium. A week earlier, Verstappen senior was also the best in the Hannuit Rally.

Max Verstappen won the first two races in Formula 1 and success is proving common within the family. Jos also started his season with two highlights. Together with his co-pilot Jamal Renaud, the pair found success in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 car.

Jos Verstappen also won in Hannut

Verstappen competed in the second event this season in the Belgian rally championship. He finished fifth in the first event, the Rally of Haspengouw. The event he won in Hannut did not count towards the championship. With his win in the Ardennes, Verstappen is fully in the race for the title, just as his son is doing in Formula 1.

Jos Verstappen is a fast learner. The Dutchman made his debut in rallying only in 2022, and he is becoming increasingly successful in this sport. The current season seems to be the first in which he has a serious chance of winning the championship.
