It is a well-known phenomenon in Formula 1: as soon as a team achieves success, the competition tries to take people away from that organisation. With Red Bull Racing now extremely dominant for the third season, they are suffering the same fate as many teams before them. Ferrari, in particular, seems to be on the hunt. The Italian team reportedly have three Red Bull employees in their sights.

The Gazzetta dello Sport has learned that Ferrari wants to take staff from Red Bull's aerodynamics department in particular. The first is said to be David Morgan, Red Bull's On-track Aerodynamic Development Manager. Morgan is a Brit, who has now been with the Austrian team for six years. Before that, he worked for Williams. He is responsible for the choices made in the configuration of aerodynamics, with Morgan focusing particularly on the correlation between the sim and the real car.

Ferrari keeps an eye on Newey's situation

In addition, Ferrari are reportedly looking to recruit Ben Waterhouse. He is Head of Performance at Red Bull. Finally, Ferrari are considering Italian Alessandro Germani, who heads the Aerodynamic Development department. He has been working for the Austrian team for nine years.

The Italian newspaper states that Ferrari is closely monitoring the current turmoil within Red Bull Racing. Should Adrian Newey, the team's master designer, ever want to leave Red Bull, the Italians would be happy to bring him to Maranello. A year ago, Ferrari was interested in technical director Pierre Waché, but he soon expressed his preference to stay at Red Bull.
