Weather forecast 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix

Weather forecast GP Saudi Arabia | Treacherous wind for the F1 drivers

9 March at 11:02

It's almost time for the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. No unusual weather conditions have occurred in Jeddah in the past, but what does the weather forecast look like for this year?

Max Verstappen is enjoying another strong weekend. The Dutchman gets to start the race in Saudi Arabia from pole position for the first time. Behind him is Charles Leclerc, followed by Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso.

In recent years, Saudi Arabia has been dry. The sun shines during the day, and at night, when driving in the dark, it cools slightly. There has been no rain so far this year, either. However, wind is present, which means it is occasionally treacherous for drivers.

Weather forecast Saudi Arabia

No rain is expected during the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, which will start at 17:00 UK time on Saturday night. According to Weather.com, the chance of rain is only 1 percent. The temperature will be around 26 degrees, which is likely to cool down during the race. The drivers might be bothered by the wind, which is estimated at 19 km/h during the start of the race and will decrease to 15 km/h later.
