Red Bull suspend woman who filed accusations against Red Bull boss Horner
- Ludo van Denderen
The staff member who accused Christian Horner of inappropriate behaviour has been suspended by the team. With this comes another chapter in the saga surrounding the team boss.
Horner was cleared of the allegations by an independent lawyer. That did not appear to be the end of the matter, as barely 24 hours later, an anonymous e-mail appeared from dozens of people in the F1 paddock with a link to allenged WhatsApp messages between Horner and the female colleague. It is not clear who sent this email.
Short statement from Red Bull Racing
Red Bull Racing has since suspended the woman. When asked, Red Bull Racing neither confirmed nor denied this news. An announcement to the press read: "The company cannot comment on this internal matter."
It now remains to be seen what the next step will be. Will Red Bull close the door fully? Will the woman opt to take legal action against the Austrian team? More will surely become clear on this in the coming days.
