Lewis Hamilton is cautiously daring to express his satisfaction with Mercedes' W15 after doing his first real test miles with the new Formula 1 car in Bahrain. However, there remains one part of the car he may never really get used to.

Hamilton remains no fan of rigid floor

After a day and a half of driving, the winter test is over for Hamilton. For the 39-year-old Briton, it is clear that the car has improved from last year's W14, but at the same time, he stresses that there is still plenty of work to do.

"It's a work in progress. It's definitely improved. I think everyone has. And we're just going through the same sequence as always. The cars are still stiff and bumpy, as we know of this generation of cars. But the team have done a great job over winter," he told media present, including GPblog.

Last year, Hamilton already spoke about the car's shortcomings during the winter test. Now he is more positive: "Yesterday was a good day. I felt it was much more enjoyable to drive. I think, like Lando mentioned, we still also have time to find. I think Red Bull are clearly out in the distance. But I think it's a good platform to work on this year."
