Ferrari have been waiting for another constructors' title since 2008. Their last drivers' title dates back to 2007. Since then, the Italian team has brought in Sebastian Vettel, also a multiple world champion, but he has never managed to give the Scuderia the ultimate success.
Ferrari's value increased dramatically
Hamilton has a chance to do that in 2025 onwards, and the confidence that he will succeed is apparently high. After the first rumours trickled in, Ferrari shares on the US stock exchange rose steadily. They eventually closed more than 10 percent higher. That means the Italian company became worth as much as $7 billion more in a single day.
Never before had Ferrari shares been so high in New York. So, for the investor looking to sell, this is perhaps an ideal time to sell.
