Max Verstappen missed out on pole position for the Las Vegas Grand Prix. He does, however, start from the front row alongside pole-sitter Charles Leclerc, helped by Carlos Sainz's controversial grid penalty. However, the Dutchman is not too worried about the Formula 1 race, as he believes the RB19's race pace is fine.

Verstappen not worried about P2

"It is quite cold out there and slippery," Verstappen said after qualifying about the conditions at the Las Vegas Street Circuit. "On a street circuit you try to get closer to the wall. I think we lacked a bit, but I think we should be better in the race and can hopefully, look after the tyres. The car felt good in the race pace yesterday."

He continued: "We've been lacking one lap performance so I hope for more from the race. It felt good yesterday, we would've liked to have more pace today but we know the points are tomorrow. First one here, you never know, might be some safety cars, so we'll manage the race."
