Vettel again lyrical about Verstappen: 'Don't compare with Hamilton'
- Toby McLuskie
Sebastian Vettel recently told us that Max Verstappen, who is on a record-breaking run in Formula 1, is particularly talented. Now he also explains why this is so. What makes Verstappen so exceptionally good compared to other drivers of his generation? The German world champion explains.
"He can adapt very quickly. He is comfortable in the uncomfortable," the former Formula 1 driver commented to Sky Sports. "He's learned and understood, I think, the sport, and he will get better in that regard. And happy to go racing, that's what he loves," Vettel continued.
Not comparing Verstappen to Hamilton
"You cannot compare Max to Lewis," the former Aston Martin driver continued. "There's not one formula, one recipe to success. Lewis has demonstrated he's the best there's ever been. Max is demonstrating at the minute that he's pulling off something that's never been done before. I think Max is a great driver," concluded the four-time world champion.
It seems to be only a matter of time before Verstappen clinches his third world championship in a row. His lead over teammate Sergio Perez has already increased to 145 points.
