The United States Grand Prix is one of three races to be held this season in America. The other races in the United States involve the Miami and Las Vegas races. Those two races attract and draw a lot of media attention, while the race at Circuit of the Americas gets much less of that. Circuit boss Bobby Epstein is not shocked by that, he told Autoweek.

US Grand Prix as people's race

"I don't think we do anything different, because the nice thing is that when the other Grands Prix came up, they all tried to create their own unique identity," Epstein replied when asked if his event should stand out from Miami and Las Vegas. "The fans have looked at the race and said it is in many ways a 'people's race'. We've heard that name a lot. It's nice to see that and we will try to live up to that," Epstein continued.

The attention drawn to the Miami and Las Vegas races also favours those in Austin, the track boss believes. "It's great to see that the Miami race can attract the American public. It was a combination of extra attention in the US because of the Miami race, because of Netflix and because of what we have done in the past," Epstein said.
