If it were up to Lewis Hamilton, Formula 1 teams would not be allowed to start developing the car for next season before a certain date. According to the former world champion, who dominated F1 for many years with his Mercedes, thinks this could create a more level playing field.

Already at the press conference ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen, the undisputed leader in the world championship, revealed he did not like the idea of the man with whom he had a titanic fight in 2021. "A lot of things in life are unfair so we just have to deal with it," Verstappen said.

Meanwhile, he also commented on Hamilton's statements to Sky Sports. The world champion said on the English channel, "So I don’t think we should now, that’s how Formula 1 works, when you have a competitive car it’s great, but at one point of course you also have to look ahead to next year."

Verstappen is otherwise not worried by his rival's words.
