Bottas hopes to do in Canada what his teammate did in Spain

Alfa Romeo's drivers are ready for the new race weekend. The Formula 1 circus travels to Montreal, Canada this week. Guanyu Zhou and Valtteri Bottas have a clear goal in mind: to score points.
Bottas had a disappointing race in Barcelona. Under the Spanish sun, the Finn eventually took his Alfa Romeo to 19th place, while teammate Zhou finished handsomely in the points with ninth. Bottas knows why the pace was off:"Floor damage caused by some debris during the opening lap prevented me from fully extracting the potential of the C43, which was unfortunate given the encouraging pace that my teammate showed," the 10-time race winner wrote in a press release. "It was good to see the team in strong form after some tough races."
The mission is clear for the former Mercedes driver. He wants to score points, just as his teammate did in Spain. "We know our car has the potential to do well, our aim from Friday onwards will be to add new points to our tally," Bottas sounds hopeful.
Zhou confident
Teammate Guanyu Zhou will travel to North America with a bit more confidence. "Coming home from Barcelona with points has surely been rewarding, and a good motivation for the entire team to keep up with the extensive work done so far, both on and off the track." The Chinese believes there are also opportunities in Montreal:"The track is very different from Barcelona. If we are at our best from the very first practice session, we’ll be able to qualify in a favourable position and extend our point scoring streak on Sunday.”
