Not only Charles Leclerc, but Lance Stroll must also report to the stewards after qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. The Aston Martin driver missed the signal that called him to the weighbridge, meaning he is now under scrutiny for an alleged technical infringement.

Stroll taken to stewards

When Stroll entered the pits midway through Q2, he was called to the weighbridge by the FIA. However, the 24-year-old Canadian did not see the light signal and instead stopped at the Aston Martin garage as usual.

Not only did he fail to reach Q3, but now a penalty may be hanging over his head. It is possible Stroll will face a disqualification, which would see his 14th place in qualifying scrapped and he would have to start the Monaco Grand Prix from the back row of the grid.

Update | No penalty for Stroll

After listening to Stroll's story and watching the video footage, the stewards were convinced that the Aston Martin driver was not at fault. The team took the car back to the weighbridge without having worked on the car in the meantime and so the stewards do not consider a penalty necessary.
