Verstappen on F1 cancellation: 'Logical to me that we don't race'

Max Verstappen fully understands Formula 1's decision to cancel the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. The Red Bull Racing driver believes the FIA and Liberty Media had no choice but to do so.

Commenting to De Telegraaf, he said: "Safety and help for the people who really need it is the most important thing. That's where care should go first. So it seems only logical to me that we don't race at times like this."

On Tuesday afternoon, the king class of motorsport announced that there will be no racing. The Imola region has been ravaged by severe weather conditions and heavy flooding.
