Romain Grosjean is off to a good start in the 2023 NTT IndyCar Series. On Saturday, the Frenchman enters the GMR Grand Prix fifth in terms of points. That is just 15 points behind the leader, defending champion Marcus Ericsson, of Chip Ganassi Racing. Grosjean seems to have found his niche outside Formula 1 and looks elated.

"I’m a race car driver. Give me a race car, and I’ll try to win the race" Grosjean told NBC Sports. After four races this season, Grosjean, with the DHL Honda, has two poles and two second places to his name.

Praise Grosjean

The veteran who has driven in Formula 1 for about a decade is at times showing brilliant action in IndyCar. The hunt for a race victory still continues. In fact, it has been more than a decade since Grosjean won a race.

Team boss Michael Andretti speaks highly of Grosjean. "Romain is doing a great job. A big turnaround from last year. I’m really proud of him. We have to control his excitement and keep him calm. When he does that, he does his best work," Andretti said.
